Camped inside the oven hot cave together with the 20 million bats, the brothers observe the birth of babies known as ‘pinkies’ and watch them grow to the point where they are able to fly. They follow the flights of these bats on hot air balloons as they emerge from their caves at sundown and observe as Texas rat snakes lie in wait at the cave entrance to prey on them.
