Experience the exhilaration of flight! Learn to fly with a structured and relaxed approach. If you are unsure of small aircraft and your ability to accept flying in one, then experience an Introductory Flight with a professional flight instructor. Your instructor will spend an approximate hour, one on one with you going over the aircraft using a checklist approach followed by a brief and then takes you to the skies where you will be able to handle the controls and get the feeling of this exciting way of life. This is a basic introduction where you are exposed to the procedures of flying rather than a lesson in flying. You will be allowed to take control of the aircraft but only during flight and not for take-off or landing (at the pilot's discretion of course!). You will participate with the general handling of the aircraft and learn the technical jargon in terms of the flaps, left and right etc. Your flight path takes in the best of Hartbeespoortdam and the scenic route this follows. This activity is for one person and takes place at Lanseria Airport (Gauteng), 6 days per week, subject to availability and ideal weather conditions. No experience necessary. All flying is subject to the pilot's discretion. Please collect a permit from the permit office before entering gate 9 @ Lanseria and please take your ID book.

If you'd like to watch South Africa's spectacular nature unfold beneath you, there's no better way to experience that than with a scenic gyrocopter safari flight. This exciting opportunity is within easy reach, thanks to the Bucket List Genie. A gyroplane, also known as a gyrocopter or autogiro,is a futuristic aircraft that uses rotary blades or a freely turning rotary wing to lift off. An engine-driven propeller gives it its thrust. A gyrocopter flies 160km/h at medium speed, which is faster than a helicopter, but slower than a plane. Highly maneuverable, this futuristic "flying motorcycle" won't stall and it can't hover, which makes for a smooth flying experience. Taking off from the Benoni airfield, your 60-minute scenic gyrocopter safari flight to Suikerbosrand Nature Reserve near Heidelberg will give you a bird's-eye view of Gauteng as it unfolds below the closed cockpit gyro. Don't forget your camera, because you will want to capture the memories and breath-taking sights of wooded gorges, acacia woodlands, grasslands and marshlands forever. No scenic gyrocopter safari flight is complete without game viewing at the Nature Reserve, so keep your eyes peeled for black wildebeest, zebra, mountain reedbuck, red hartebeest, baboon, kudu springbok and many more. Book your scenic gyrocopter safari today! Need to Know - All flights are weather dependent. Flights take place 5 days per week. This flight is for one passenger with pilot. Allow 60 minutes for the flight. A closed gyrocopter will be used for this flight. Participation is at your own risk. E-Voucher and service fee included.

Join us for a 30 minute introductory flight and enjoy spectacular aerial views of the stunning countryside. View the beauty and tranquility of the Magaliesberg. Relax and absorb the peaceful nature of the African cliffs and bush and experience the ultimate with a micro light flight! Aerospace admirers will enjoy a safety brief followed by the flight – just enough to get the adrenalin pumping before landing with your feet firmly on the ground. More about the micro light - During the late 1970s and early 1980s, many people sought to be able to fly affordably. As a result, many aviation authorities set up definitions of lightweight, slow-flying aero planes that could be subject to minimum regulation. The resulting aero planes are commonly called ultra light or micro light, although the weight and speed limits are rarely the same between any two countries. In most affluent countries, micro lights or ultra lights now account for about 20% of the civil aircraft fleet. Ultra light/micro light aircraft were once regarded as "flying clotheslines", since early aircraft were typically completely open, wire, tube and rag aircraft – these aircraft were seldom used for anything more than local area flying. However, ultra lights are rapidly transforming into high performance aircraft, capable of very respectable speed and range. In recent years there has been a dramatic rise in the number of General Aviation pilots flying high performance ultra lights due to the cost benefits.
