James Bond: The World Is Not Enough Platform: PlayStation Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information Employ stealth, espionage action, and overwhelming fire power in each mission Full arsenal of Q-lab gadgets including x-ray glasses, grappling hook watch, cufflink camera, and more Over 10 exciting missions in exotic locations Follow the plot through real-time 3D cinematics based on the movie Stunning graphics and visual effects Product Description Playing as James Bond, you will accomplish mission objectives based on the settings and plot of the MGM feature film. Use your License to Kill--and an assortment of Q-created weapons (cufflink lasers!)--to put down any bad guy in your sights. Ski, drive, and run through 10 different single-player missions. The game features two levels of difficulty, which will surely present a challenge even to double agents. Review If you've played EA's previous James Bond game on PlayStation, Tomorrow Never Dies, you probably won't be looking forward to The World Is Not Enough. However, although it could most accurately be described as GoldenEye -lite, The World Is Not Enough (TWINE) offers a much more satisfying experience than the previous effort both graphically and gameplay-wise. As you might expect you play the part of 007, and the action is viewed from a first-person perspective. As each levels begins you are given a set of objectives by M and these have to be completed before you can proceed. These tasks mainly involve shooting as many bad guys as possible with a variety of satisfyingly chunky weaponry, but there are also skiing, driving, gambling (one of the most fun) and stealth levels. With the latter utilising some neat gadgetry provided by John Cleese's R (the only actor from the film actually voicing his character in the game). The game follows the plot of the film very closely, with 10 levels being linked by extensive movie footage. An experienced gamer will not have too many problems finishing TWINE in a few hours, and the extensive violence makes this game unsuitable for younger players, but most James Bond fans will find much to entertain them in this diverting romp. -- Michael Bartley

James Bond 007: The World is Not Enough & Tomorrow Never Dies Twin Pack Platform: PlayStation Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information Twin pack of two bestselling James Bond games The World Is Not Enough: Employ stealth, espionage action, and overwhelming firepower in each mission Full arsenal of Q-lab gadgets including x-ray glasses, grappling hook watch, cufflink camera, and more Over 10 exciting missions in exotic locations Tomorrow Never Dies: Multiple game modes: 3rd-person shooting, skiing and driving Various combat styles: Tuck-and-roll, stealth, and others Dozens of classic Bond weapons and gadgets 10 missions and locations based on the movie Product Description Review The World Is Not Enough offers a satisfying experience in terms of both graphics and gameplay. You play the part of 007, and the action is viewed from a first-person perspective. As each level begins you're given a set of objectives by M and these have to be completed before you can proceed. The tasks mainly involve shooting as many bad guys as possible with a variety of satisfyingly chunky weaponry, but there are also skiing, driving, gambling (one of the most fun) and stealth levels, with the latter utilising some neat gadgetry provided by John Cleese's R. -- Michael Bartley While Tomorrow Never Dies presents the variety and intrigue one would expect from the beloved licensed-to-kill, Martini-sippin' spy, it would have benefited from a bit more polishing. Don't expect this game to be on par with the games and movies that preceded it; in fact, if you're looking for a GoldenEye -like experience for the PlayStation, you'd be much better off with WWII period piece Medal of Honor. Tomorrow Never Dies uses an auto target mode, but it's far too restrictive to be of use here, requiring players to stand still in order to keep the target locked. The game loyally follows the film, but when the action intensifies--such as a hot pursuit on skis, or flying a nuclear warhead-laden jet out of a hot zone--players are forced to either relinquish control entirely or have minimal input. Gadgets from Bond's old pal Q are too sparsely used, and the absence of any multiplayer mode seals this game's fate as a small diversion rather than a stellar accomplishment. -- Jeff Young

Disney's Peter Pan: Adventures In Never Land Platform: PlayStation Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information Join Peter Pan in a daring adventure through Never Land Explore over 20 extensive levels Find pieces of a mysterious treasure map Meet all your favourite characters including Tinker Bell and Captain Hook Clash with Hook's pirates and free the Lost Boys from their traps along the way Meet fairies, pirates, crocodiles and Captain Hook in a final duel of good versus evil Product Description Based on Disney's new animated feature film, Disney's Peter Pan: Adventures In Never Land lets you play as either Peter Pan or Tinker Bell and explore over 20 levels filled with leaps, puzzles, races, and fights. Bonus and hidden stages let you discover every nook and cranny of Never Land. Play in a mode designed for the very young or in the challenge mode for more advanced players. In the world of the game, Wendy has grown up and now has children of her own. But the real world is a very different place from Never Land: World War II is raging, and London has become a battleground. The one comfort Wendy has for her children is her wealth of stories about the remarkable place she used to know. Her boy, Danny, loves bedtime stories, but 12-year-old Jane is a practical child with no patience for this nonsense. In this world torn apart by war, Jane sees no room for faith, trust, and make-believe. At least, not until she is kidnapped by Captain Hook and whisked away to Never Land. Now, the land of fantasy becomes a reality, and the silly boy who would never grow up is her hero, taking Jane on a fabulous adventure of whimsy and daring that just may restore her faith. Review First, the good features of Disney's Peter Pan: Adventures in Neverland: it's fun to fly around as Peter Pan, collecting feathers and stuff, tangling with various baddies, and exploring colourful 2-D environments. The physics, while rudimentary, give you a vivid sense of Peter Pan's weight, and the controls make moving him around a very intuitive affair. The missions are pretty simple, just right for younger gamers. But elements from the Disney movie sequel on which the game is supposedly based are completely absent. So instead of the film's story, which mixes scenes from both Neverland and WWII-era London, the game offers a completely generic plot about a secret map and hidden treasure. In fact, it verges on false advertising for this game to even bear the name of the film. The game also suffers from interminable load times--if your character perishes, you even have wait while the same level loads again. Taken not as an adaptation of a film, but as a good, basic adventure for younger gamers, though, the game is just fine. The environments are fun to explore, and the action is just challenging enough to keep things interesting without making them frustrating. --David Stoesz

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (GBA) Platform: Game Boy Advance Condition: New Other versions of this game available from us: Platform: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition copies available Product Information If this format is out of stock, try Harry Potter on PC or PSone Achieve over twenty-nine objectives to complete Harry¿¿¿¿¿s first year at Hogwarts Interact with over twenty characters from the story Action-based puzzles and mini-games provide intense and thrilling challenges Ride the wind in fast-paced, top-down Quidditch and broomstick flying sequences Extensive exploration of Hogwarts and its surrounding grounds Isometric 2D graphics present a colorful view of Harry Potter¿¿¿¿¿s world Product Description Review Following a strong introduction sequence, it's quickly down to the action in the Game Boy Advance version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. For unlike the Game Boy Color version, the game kicks off with Harry already at Hogwarts, and with some fast learning to do. You step into Harry's shoes, initially moving from classroom to classroom learning new skills and spells, before indulging in activities such as sneaking out of your dormitory at night, fighting off trolls and having a quick game of Quidditch too. You certainly can't accuse the developers of trying to short-change the fans, as it seems they've tried to cram as much of the film into the game. Unfortunately, that's also at the root of the game's main problem. While it tries to cover all angles of the plot, it does mean that some segments of the game lack a little polish, and aren't always that enjoyable. Sure, there's some great fun to be had with the game, and the quality of the graphics means players will instantly relate it to the film. It's just that perhaps a little more development time could have paid dividends. Nonetheless, fans of both the film and books are likely to get some enjoyment out of the game, even if arguably it's inferior to the Game Boy Color version. And if you're not overwhelmed by Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, you can wager on one certainty--this isn't the last we've seen of Mr Potter on the Game Boy Advance... -- Simon Brew Manufacturer's Description Be Harry Potter in this Game Boy Advance game, discovering a world filled with wizardry, fun and ever-present danger. Attend lessons, learn and cast spells, explore Hogwarts and take flight to play Quidditch on your Nimbus Two Thousand. Interact with characters like Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy and Rubeus Hagrid, and overcome challenges and puzzle to defeat You-Know-Who.
