I am qualified apprenticeship trained and trade tested journeyman in Auto-Electrics with working experience on Earthmoving, trucks, buses, forklifts and light motor vehicles and I am willing to venture into other types of vehicles or machinery Presently responsible for servicing and carrying out diagnostic repairs at a leading transport company.(Camm Trans middleburg (Just coal mines) Key Abilities: • Work with computer controlled engine management systems and other systems as well. • Service, identify and repair faults on electronically controlled machines such as electronic field systems, electronic gear selection, air-conditioning and monitoring systems and safety systems. • Install electrical components and equipment such as gauges, lights, alternators, starter motors and wiring looms • Test the repaired parts/vehicles for safety, using special tools in order to ensure the proper operation and the effectiveness of maintenance activities • Install electrically operated accessories such as radios, strobes, cameras and convertors. • Use of meters, diagnostic instruments, laptops and circuit diagrams to find electrical faults. • Testing and replacing of faulty alternators, generators, starter motors, magneto's and related items such as voltage regulators and batteries. • Use of hand tools, specialized electrical tools and instruments and machines, including drills, grinders, presses and lathes, etc. • Solder or weld when repairing electrical parts and Install electrical parts and accessories • Repair and service air-conditioning systems. I have a valid  drivers' license, clean Code 14 I have a very good hands on experience of mechanics I.e brakes,, cooling systems,, oil systems and fuel injection systems to mention just a few. NOTE! This position is responsible for all day-to-day tasks associated with running our in-house assembly capability including, but not limited to the following: Electronic and mechanical assembly Install components, units and printed circuit boards following specifications Use electronic, hand, power and mechanical tools Customise units and make adjustments or repairs according to written specifications Fabricate parts, cables and test fixtures when required Procurement of components Assist with the ordering and receiving process Assist with the upkeep of stock and inventory control Inspect and test all product assemblies prior to shipment Record serial numbers and test results for all products Package finished product for customer shipment Maintain all work related equipment, passive load, test fixtures, etc. Maintain and write work procedures and all related documentation for each task performed Work closely with Production Manager to develop new test procedures and solutions according to custom requirements Work with management to set work schedule based on approximate delivery dates Qualifications: a) Minimum: N6 Electronic Engineering qualification or similar b) Recommended: Relevant Diploma Computer Science / Studies as a subject in your final year of studies advantageous Experience and Skills requirements: Prior experience with Electronic Production and IT Support including good knowledge of data networks, electronic communication products, technologies, are desired but not mandatory.
