An American Classic! Since , the Martin D-28 has remained the standard by which all other steel-strings are judged. Solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, solid spruce top, and Dreadnought size produce an incredibly loud, full, rich, punchy tone perfect for most musical styles. Used for years by all the top players, the D-28 is rightfully a living legend in acoustic guitars. Typically the action is set higher on a D-28 than on a D or 45 owing to the instrument's bluegrass roots where the instrument performs with mandolins, banjos and Dobros which are loud. A heavier gauge string and tad higher action makes the guitar louder. Well-played D28's are often referred to as "cannons". The D28 is an American classic. [embed]https://youtu.be/TRhZbjAxwHs[/embed] The RGD is Ibanez's ultimate metal machine. The demands of down-tuning require a specifically designed responsiveness not found in "normal" guitars. To optimize for the rich, desirable thickness of tone that down-tuning produces, we extended the neck by one inch to a 26.5" scale. Longer-than standard yet not overly long. The neck is still considered a "fast" neck for speed soloing. The top is solid Sitka spruce, a choice wood for organic, well-balanced tones. Back and sides are made from solid sapele, which is similar to mahogany in terms of richness and depth. It's a recipe for vibrant tone that will age gracefully as the years go by. The top is braced with solid Sitka spruce using Martin's A-Frame X-1 pattern for maximum resonance and projection. The DRSGT's smooth-playing, modified low oval neck is crafted from solid sipo, and the belly bridge and fingerboard are made of Black Richlite, an ultra-stable (and sustainable) material with a similar look, feel, and sound to ebony. Traditional Martin craftsmanship makes the DRSGT an excellent value - it even includes a hardshell case to protect your investment. Great-sounding electronics with USB connectivity The DRSGT is equipped with the Fishman Sonitone USB pickup system, which gives you great-sounding output, onstage and in the studio. I’m ready to pass on my Gibson L-30 Archtop. This vintage, pre-war Gibson is really a blast to play. It's a small body, but has a big voice with tons of tone! All original hardware and everything are in perfect order with great playability up the entire fingerboard. She is in a fairly good condition for an 80 year old instrument. This one is like holding history in your hands. The L-30 has a carved top, but also a flat back, resulting in a tone that combined aspects of a small flattop and a true archtop. Features: hand carved solid spruce top; solid maple back and sides; one-piece mahogany neck; Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, single-bound body, bone nut and ebony floating bridge.
