Subtitle: The Inside Story of the Delmas Four Author: Peter Harris With Author's Inscription Publisher: Struik () ISBN-10: ISBN-13: Condition: Very Good - Slight lifting of laminate along cover corners and edges, otherwise in very good condition. Binding: Softcover Pages: 320 Dimensions: 22 x 14.5 x 2.5 cm +++ by Peter Harris (With Author's Inscription) +++ This book tells the story of four young South Africans who embark on a mission that will ultimately take them to Death Row. They are a highly trained and experienced assassination squad reporting directly to Chris Hani. The narrative details their infiltration into the country, their operations, arrest and subsequent trial.  As their trial unfolds with their attorney fighting to save them from the gallows, so too does the story of their own lives and the choices they made. The story is set in a South Africa gripped by unrest and political tension, when the ANC was in exile and repression at its height. It tells of the extraordinary lengths people go to in order to fight for what they believe, and the acts people will commit to preserve the status quo.   A passion for books and a passion for collecting fine editions was the recipe that created the successful group of bookshops in Johannesburg called Bookdealers. The group started thirty years ago with one store in the quirky suburb of Yeoville and has grown through the years to a total of five shops, plus our online sales. Bookdealers is well-known for its collectable and used books. We also have a large variety of remaindered books sourced from around the world.  If you collect from one of our five branches there is no delivery charge. We also offer postal delivery (when available) and courier delivery, subject to a quote.

See You In November The story of Alan `Taffy' Brice - An SAS assassin- By Peter Stiff - Galago - 2002 - Paperback still in good, tight condition. This is the extraordinary true story of how a British SAS-trained explosives expert plotted to kill Robert Mugabe in London and was stopped only hours before carrying out his death mission. The assassin, known only by his code name "Taffy" tells first hand of his SAS training and special operations in Malaya, Borneo, Cambodia, Kenya and Europe and his six years as head of the Rhodesian Central Intelligence Operation's covert team in Zambia, where, in 1975, they did assassinate the ZANU chairman Herbert Chitepo. In September 1979, he travelled to London with orders to kill Mugabe at the Lancaster House constitutional talks, by detonating a bomb in the foyer of the Royal Gardens Hotel, Kensington. The operation, codenamed November, was at trigger stage when it was called off. Unbeknown to him, British security had been tipped off, but the informer thought he was a Rhodesian SAS operator and not an ex-member of British SAS, so he was never caught.

Two years have passed, and the mild-mannered Peter Parker faces new challenges as he struggles with 'the gift and the curse', desperately trying to balance his dual identities as the web-slinging superhero Spider-Man and his life as a college student. Tormented by his secrets and facing a deadly new threat in multi-tentacled Doctor Octopus (Molina), Peter finds that his relationships with all those he holds dear are in danger of unraveling. His life-long yearning for M.J. (Kirsten Dunst) becomes even stronger as he fights the impulse to reveal his secret life and declare his love. His friendship with Harry Osborn (James Franco) is complicated by the young Osborn's bitterness over his father's death and his growing vendetta against Spider-Man. Even Peter's beloved Aunt May (Rosemary Harris), who has fallen on hard times after the death of Uncle Ben, begins to have doubts about her nephew...

Taking its name from a popular series of mystery novels, Inner Sanctum Mysteries debuted over NBC’s Blue Network in January . Inner Sanctum Mysteries featured one of the most memorable and atmospheric openings in radio history: an organist hit a dissonant chord, a doorknob turned and the famous “creaking door” slowly began to open. Every week, Inner Sanctum Mysteries told stories of ghosts, murderers and lunatics. Produced in New York, the cast usually consisted of veteran radio actors, with occasional guest appearances by such Hollywood stars Boris Karloff, Peter Lorre and Claude Rains. What made Inner Sanctum Mysteries unique among radio horror shows was its host, a slightly sinister sounding fellow originally known as “Raymond.” The host had a droll sense of humor and an appetite for ghoulish puns, and his influence can be seen among horror hosts everywhere, from the Crypt-Keeper to Elvira. Raymond Edward Johnson was the show’s host until ; Paul McGrath took over as host until the show left the air in . Producer Hiram Brown would utilize the creaking door again in the s, when he produced and directed The CBS Radio Mystery Theater. CD# “The Voice on the Wire” and “Desert Death” CD# “Death Is An Artist” and “Death in the Depths” CD# “No Coffin For the Dead” and “The Bog Oak Necklace” CD# “The Black Art” and “Dead to Rights” CD# “Death Across The Board” and “Portrait of Death” CD# “Dead Man’s Deal” and “The Murder Prophet”   PAYMENT:  For your convenience, I gladly accept PayPal (5% PayPal fee added)     EFT / EBT is accepted PROVIDED buyer is agreeable to paying $USD International bank fee charged by BancorpSouth, USA.  Also accepted: Western Union and MoneyGram.  SHIPPING COSTS: See particulars under Shipping & Payment tab.
