There are so many animals that never get the chance to have a special home and feel loved. Please consider adopting a dog or cat from the SPCA or a rescue organisation such as Kitty and Puppy Haven, SAINTs, FORA, Barking Mad, CLAW (the list goes on). Conti is a lovely middle aged girl that was found on the streets and never claimed. She's been at the kennels for MANY MANY MONTHS! She is a very gentle soul with a laid back nature and a very loving heart! She is good with other dogs and enjoys their company, but prefers even more to be around people. She is quite a relaxed and contented girl who thoroughly enjoys attention and TLC! She must sleep inside at night and be a special part of the family. She has a beautiful nature and will make a wonderful friend and companion. The adoption fee of R650 includes sterilization, microchip, vaccinations and de-worming. Trixie is the most precious young small girl that has been surrendered to our kennels MANY MANY MONTHS AGO. She gets on well with other dogs and is a very gentle natured, friendly and affectionate girl! She always has a smile on her face and her tail is always wagging! This boy came in as a stray with another Maltese X boy; both in quite a state; we will post a new pic as soon as they have gone to the parlour.... All cats and dogs that are adopted from an SPCA will be sterilised to prevent them from either having (or siring) any unwanted litters; they will be vaccinated to safeguard them from contracting diseases such as distemper or parvovirus; they will be dewormed to assist in the elimination of internal parasites, they may also be dipped to ensure that there are no external parasites; and they will receive some form of identification (either a microchip or a collar bearing an ID disc). This is what prospective owners are paying for whenever they adopt an animal from an SPCA. The actual animal is for free!! Banquo is a super stunning male Border collie cross puppy. We estimate him to be around 4 months old. He is absolutely gorgeous with a lovely personality. Due to the Border collie in him, Banquo should be medium size, highly intelligent and very, VERY active. They are very easy to train but need proper training, lots of mental stimulation, daily exercise (and not just a 20min walk) and a soft hearted owner. When bored, Border collies become destructive and they will dig holes and jump fences. When properly trained, cared for and socialized, Border collies and Border collie crosses truly make the most amazing family dogs. We recommend that should you consider adopting a Border collie or a Border collie cross and have no experience with the breed, phone a trainer and ask for advice. Adoption fee: R850 includes first injection, de-worming, an IdentiPet microchip and castration.

Please consider adopting a pet from an Animal Shelter rather than buying. There are so many unwanted pets that are destroyed daily. Hartbeespoort Animal Welfare Society has wonderful dogs and puppies of all breeds, sizes and ages. The adoption fee includes sterilization, first innoculation and deworming.
