Rough Coco Coir Peat 800g (12 Litre) Block Size: 23.5 x 17.5 x 4 cm The larger chunks in coarse coco peat are ideal for hydroponics they do not fall through the slits in the pots. It is free from any additives and is excellent on its own or mixed with other mediums. Coarse coco peat can also be mixed with sand and compost to make excellent potting soil or is excellent as a mulch. Coco peat is a byproduct of the coconut industries it is made of coconut husk. Coco peat is an excellent soil additive for pot plants, cuttings, growing seedlings or used in hydroponics, it can also be used as mulch. Coco peat is free of bacteria and fungal spores and because it is a byproduct of industry it is sustainable and it does not have the same impact regular peat mining does on the environment. Coco peat helps aerate the soil while at the same time helping the soil retain moisture and nutrients to help root development in pot plants and cuttings and encourage seedlings to grow faster.
