An eight-day tour exploring some of the best single track the Cape Town area has to offer. Don¿t be fooled by the shorter distances, the riding is technical and 80% single track. Accommodation at beautiful country B&Bs and lunches at some of the best restaurants the area has to offer. Day 1: Arrive/Transfer and Bike Build If time permits, we can do a short ride to test your bike and sample what¿s to come. Overnight in Durbanville Day 2: Contermanskloof 90% flowing single track and jeep track, this ride has open climbs with breathtaking views of the West Coast, Cape Town, and Table Mountain, giving you a chance to catch your breath for some fast descents. Level: Medium technical riding Overnight in Durbanville Day 3: Jonkershoek Ride single track known only to locals and experience one of the regular training grounds of some of the world¿s best mountain bikers. Hard pack riding in pine forests of a Stellenbosch nature reserve, with some technical riding mixed in with a fair amount of fast-flowing natural single track. Be careful of the green stuff! Level: Medium to hard technical riding Overnight in Stellenbosch Day 4: Lourensford The location of the Absa Cape Epic finish, this venue is a favourite amongst local riders. Known for the stunning climbs that seem to go on forever and then, obviously, the screaming descents that¿ll keep you wishing for more. Level: Medium technical riding Overnight in Hermanus Day 5: Rest Day After driving to Hermanus along the scenic coastal route via Rooiels, you have a variety of activities available to you on your rest day, including: A short 20 km urban MTB route for those needing that little fix Shark cage diving (weather dependent) Tandem paragliding (weather dependent) Whale watching flight (only available in season and weather dependent) Lobster fishing (only available in season and weather dependent) Wine tasting Golf Walking (beach/cliff path or local nature reserve) Shopping Scuba diving (weather dependent) Overnight in Hermanus and enjoy a traditional South African braai (BBQ) in the evening. Day 6: Lebanon to Kleinmond The day starts with some of the best flowing and natural single track in the country. The ride offers a mix of rocky climbs with fun, flowing single track that will leave your eyes watering. Lunch today is in the coastal town of Kleinmond and for those who prefer to get there by bike, there is a stunning valley trail (not for the faint-hearted) that will take us down into town. Level: Medium; valley trail has one or two hard technical sections Overnight in Hermanus Day 7: Oak Valley We¿ve saved the best for last! Today¿s riding offers sublime, purpose-built trails that showcase what the Western Cape has to offer. These trails are host to two of the biggest and best races in the country. Once you¿ve been here you¿ll see why they keep coming back year after year. If you¿re feeling energetic, add the 25 km Thandi loop as an optional extra. Level: Medium technical riding Overnight in Stellenbosch and enjoy a traditional African farewell dinner at Moyo. Day 8: Transfer/DepartPack bikes and transfer.

The name says it all, big distances further into the countryside than our Classic Cape Rides tour. This tour is aimed at riders who are here to do serious mileage. Day 1: Arrive/Transfer and Bike Build If time permits, we can do a short ride to test your bike and sample what¿s to come. Overnight in Stellenbosch Day 2: Bainskloof We start the day with some easy rolling climbs to warm up our legs. After making our way through Wellington we head up the historic Bainskloof Pass. Fortunately, what goes up must come down! Overnight in Stellenbosch Day 3: Breede Valley Today is one of those days when you¿ll remember why you enjoy cycling, with the rolling hills and stunning vineyard vistas. Overnight in Swellendam Day 4: Route 62 A fast approximately 30 km to warm up our legs before we hit the first climb of the day¿a long gradual climb up the Tradouw Valley with scenery that will take your breath away. This is followed by another climb to test our legs before we hit a stunning rolling road all the way into Robertson. Overnight in Hermanus Day 5: Rest Day After waking up in the beautiful coastal town of Hermanus there are a number of exciting actvities available to you, including: A ride to Houw Hoek and back for those who need a fix, with a stop for coffee along the way Shark cage diving (weather dependent) Tandem paragliding (weather dependent) Whale watching flight (only available in season and weather dependent) Lobster fishing (only available in season and weather dependent) Wine tasting Golf Walking (Voegelgat/beach/cliff path) Shopping Scuba diving Overnight in Hermanus and enjoy a traditional South African braai (BBQ) Day 6: Stellenbosch via The Coastal Route Today¿s route is a personal favourite. Most of our ride today has amazing sea views on our left and great mountain views on the right. Overnight in Stellenbosch Day 7: Three Passes This classic route is as scenic as it gets. As the route name implies, there is some good climbing and lots of fresh country air. An awesome ride to finish the tour. Overnight in Stellenbosch and farewell dinner. Day 8: Transfer/DepartPack bikes and transfer.
