In 1958, the members of Team Daedalus, a group of top Air Force test pilots, were ready to serve their country as the first Americans in space. When NASA replaced the Air Force for outer atmospheric testing, Team Daedalus was pushed aside and a chimpanzee got the honor. The team retired, but the dream of going into space never died. Now, over four decades later, the Russian satellite Ikon has suffered a systems failure that Russian officials insist will cause a total communications blackout in their country. NASA official Bob Gerson (JAMES CROMWELL) stumbles toward a solution and finds it in a very unexpected place. Since Ikon has the same guidance system as early American satellite Skylab, Skylabs designer should know how to fix Ikon. But Gerson already knows the designer. Now retired, Frank Corvin (CLINT EASTWOOD) is the one man alive who can do the job. This is the chance of a lifetime but Frank wont take it unless he can bring the only crew he trusts to do the job with him.

World-travelling National Geographic photographer Robert Kincaid and Iowa housewife Francesca Johnson aren’t looking to turn their lives upside down. Each is at a point in life where expectations are behind them. Yet four days after meeting, they won’t want to lose the love they’ve found. Academy Award winners Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood (who also produces and directs) bring blazing starpower and powerful conviction to the beloved characters of Robert James Waller’s rhapsodic bestseller of love, choice and consequence. Also right are the small details and large emotions of once-in-a-lifetime love. With luck, a love like that happens to some of us sooner or later. For Robert and Francesca, it was later. And it was glorious.

'The Searchers' (1956) tells the story of Ethan Edwards (John Wayne), an ex-confederate soldier who swears revenge after his brother's family is butchered by Comanches and his niece (Natalie Wood) is kidnapped. Accompanied by Martin Pawley (Jeffrey Hunter), Ethan sets out on an epic seven-year search for the missing girl. In 'Pale Rider' (1985) a community of gold mining prospectors comes under attack from a gang of marauders who are after the prospectors' land. Chance (Wayne) is holding a murderous villain in his cell while waiting for a magistrate to collect him for trial. The criminal's associates are desperate to free him and will stop at nothing to achieve their goal...
