Commemorative Challenge Coin: French Foreign Legion - 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment (French: 2e Rgiment tranger de parachutistes, 2e REP) The 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment is the only foreign airborne regiment of the French Foreign Legion and France, currently stationed at Camp Raffalli near the town of Calvi on the island of Corsica, just south of mainland France. It is one of the four infantry regiments of the 11th Parachute Brigade 11eBP and part of the spearhead of the French rapid reaction force. Deployment can be as part of NATO or the United Nations. Since 2014, the 11th Airmobile Brigade has been part of the German Army Rapid Forces Division. When the Airmobile Brigade, an Army brigade, operates integrated with the Dutch Defence Helicopter Command, an Air Force command, they form the '11th Air Manoeuvre Brigade' (11 AMB).
