The Celestron Telescope Astrofi 130 f/5 Reflector Telescope utilizes an integrated antenna to emit a local Wi-Fi signal so you can control the mount via Android and iOS smartphones and tablets running their free SkyPortal app. Optically, the Celestron Astrofi 130 sports a large 130mm aperture and a short 650mm focal length to produce a fast focal ratio that can resolve deep sky objects that smaller refractor-style scopes cannot, such as splitting binary stars or separating star clusters. With highly-reflective aluminum and SiO2 (quartz) mirror coatings, light loss is limited so you can make detailed observations of the Moon, view planets and distant nebulae, and get great wide-field views of the sky for comet watching and asteroid hunting. This complete observation rig includes the optical tube assembly, a motorized mount, an aluminum tripod, two eyepieces, and a red-dot finder. The OTA is mounted on a single-arm motorized alt-az mount.Guiding the mount is the SkyPortal app. Packed with over 120,000 objects it is designed to help users set up quickly and start observing faster. The app offers align aids, can automatically find objects in the night sky; and even offers guided tours of the most interesting objects overhead on any given night. The mount of the Celestron Telescope Astrofi 130 runs on eight user-supplied AA batteries, and the entire rig assembles and breaks down without the need for tools so set up is easy and you can start observing sooner. Celestron EdgeHD 1400 Reducer Lens.7x Product Info Celestron Edge HD 0.7x Focal Reducer Lens 94240 is a powerful tool for flattening the field seen through your telescope, allowing you to take faster photographs and capture a wider field of view through your eyepiece. These Celestron telescope accessoris use a 5-element lens design to maintain the stellar flat-field performance power of Celestron EdgeHD telscopes, and they increase your telescope's field of view by 43%, allowing you to discover galaxies and star clusters that you would've been able to see only parts of before. Other reducer lenses diminish back focus, making it harder to take good astrophotography photos, but not this telescope accessory; it maintains the same back focus at f/10, allowing you to mount CCD cameras without a loss of resolution. When the Celestron EdgeHD.7x 5 Element Reducer Lens is installed, it will make your telescope's speed one full F-stop above f/10, reducing the necessary exposure time by half, allowing you to take photos twice as fast without any sacrifice of brightness. "Rare earth" lanthanum glass elements minimize chromatic aberration, while the fully multi-coated lenses improve light transmission and color correction. What's more, all lens elements on the Celestron Edge-HD.7x Lanthanum Glass Reduction Lens feature blackened edges to minimize internal reflections and improve contrast. The Celestron EdgeHD 0.7x Fully Multi-Coated Reducer Lens has a full-frame design that mounts directly to the 3.25" threads on the optical tube of an EdgeHD telescope. The telescope accessory has a clear 60mm aperture that is optimized for use with CCD image sensors with a 42mm image circle. The aluminum housing of the Celestron lens is precision CNC machined for precise optical alignment and durability, and threaded metal covers on both ends of the lens assembly protect the integrity of the Celestron Edge HD.7x Focal Reducer Telescope Lens. With this reducer lens installed, you can use all EdgeHD optics at f/10, f/7, and f/2 for incredible versatility. All existing Edge HD T-adapters can be used with the reducer for astrophotography. Get an expanded view of the night sky and take faster photos with the Celestron Edge HD.7x Fully Multi-Coated Focal Reduction Lens. Celestron Observers Accessory Kit Product Info The Celestron Observer’s Accessory Kit is a great way to expand the functionality and enjoyment of your telescope. Inside the plastic, foam-lined carry case you’ll find these accessories: 17 mm Plossl Eyepiece - mm Plossl Eyepiece - x Barlow Lens/T-Adapter - A Blue Filter - Red Filter - 1.25” Moon Filter - 1.25” Microfiber Cleaning Cloth Eyepieces - The 17 mm and 6 mm Plossl eyepieces can be used in any telescope with a 1.25” focuser. Each eyepiece features a four-element design with a 52º apparent field of view. The lenses are fully multi-coated to improve light transmission and protect the optics. The 17 mm Plossl eyepiece offers a nice medium magnification view in most telescopes, and the 6 mm Plossl provides high magnifications, great for the Moon and planets, especially when seeing conditions are good. 2x Barlow Lens/T-Adapter - The included versatile 2x Barlow will double the magnification of any 1.25” eyepiece. The 17 mm Plossl included in this kit will double in power, effectively becoming a 8.5 mm eyepiece, and the 6 mm will provide the magnification of a 3 mm. Any other 1.25” eyepieces you already have will also work in this desirable accessory, giving you even more magnification choices. Remember, high magnifications do not always produce clear, sharp results, especially on evenings of poor or moderate seeing conditions. Experiment to find the magnifications that are best for you and your telescope. T-threads are machined into the top portion of this Barlow lens, allowing a user to attach a camera with the addition of an optional T-ring. Instructions for attaching your camera are included with the Observer’s Accessory Kit. Filters - Colored filters bring out certain details on a planet’s surface or its cloud structure. Both planetary filters, as well as the Moon filter, can be used on any 1.25” eyepiece with the proper filter threads. Just screw one onto your eyepiece of choice and slide it into the focuser. The #80A is a medium-blue filter that enhances the contrast of the cloud belts on Jupiter and the polar ice caps on Saturn. It also can be used to increase contrast on the Moon if you don’t mind the color shift. The #25 filter is a deep red color and is a good choice when you want to define the polar ice caps on Mars. It’s also fun to use this filter when observing Jupiter. The #25 Red filter blocks quite a bit of light coming through your telescope, however, so it is best used on bright objects with larger aperture telescopes. The Moon filter is one of the first accessories most new amateur astronomers buy, and for good reason! It helps block out a portion of the light the Moon sends into your eyepiece so you can see details better. You can also try this filter on Venus; it blocks enough glare so that the planet’s phases can more easily be seen. Cleaning Cloth & Case: Keep the microfiber cleaning cloth stashed in your Observer’s Accessory Kit so that it will always be handy. Use it to safely remove fingerprints and smears from your optics without leaving residue behind. Remember to blow or brush any dust particles off of your optics before rubbing them with the cloth. The black plastic carry case has die-cut foam inside to protect and cushion your accessories. Keep each one in its appointed place when not in use and you’ll keep them looking and performing like new. The case is large enough to carry a few extra accessories safely. Package Contents: Celestron Observers Accessory Kit 17 mm Plossl Eyepiece - mm Plossl Eyepiece - x Barlow Lens/T-Adapter - A Blue Filter - Red Filter - 1.25” Moon Filter - 1.25” Microfiber Cleaning Cloth
