This is a wonderful camera, a collector’s item, still in great working condition. I purchased it in February 1972 for use during my trip to Marion Island as leader / medic for the 29th expedition. What a wonderful camera. Fabulous pics and slides which I still have, and show to family and friends. I continued using it for another 30 to 35 years. Canon Remote Switch RS-60E3 Item in stock - Ready to Send The Remote Switch RS-60E3 releases the shutter by cable from distances of up to 2 ft. There are times when you want to take a picture without pressing the shutter release button. This might be to reduce movement of the camera when using a tripod, or when you need to be some distance from the camera as the picture is taken. A remote switch is a small hand unit which attaches to the camera via a short cable. RS-60E3, with 60cm cable, is for most other recent cameras including the EOS E/N/ / IX/IX7. A button on the hand unit replicates the action of the shutter button on the camera. These switches are ideal for firing the camera when it is fixed to a tripod.
