Amerzone Platform: Windows 98, Windows 95 Condition: New This Title Also Available As: Pre-Owned/Used: Very Good Condition games available Please get in touch for information on these options. Product Information Designed by cartoonist Benoit Sokal. Set in a new South American country full of danger, myths, and legends. Detailed graphics and cinematic 3-D scenes. Heart-pounding adventure with 3-D sound. More than 50 large-scale puzzles to solve and 200 places to explore. Product Description The game whisks you from France to the far-off land of the imaginary Amerzone, in Central America. The player personifies a young journalist who discovers the legend of the mysterious White Birds. According to the legend, the White Birds guarantee eternal life and prosperity and were offered to the Native Americans as a gift from God. These amazing creatures are born, live, and die in the sky without ever landing. However, years ago, an explorer stole the originating egg even before the birds could be born. Since that fateful day, the tribe has suffered under a merciless curse and to finally put an end to it, it is up to you, the journalist, to return the egg to its rightful owners. Embark on an adventure that will lead you through the Amerzone and bring you face to face with the secrets of the jungle. Review Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy is a first-person role-playing game in the style of Myst. You're cast as a journalist on an extraordinary quest. Inside a lighthouse in France, you find a magical egg, the progenitor of a race of white birds who spend their entire existence flying--from birth to death, without ever landing. Valenbois, the old explorer who lives in the lighthouse, stole the egg from a Central American tribe in a country called Amerzone. Now dying, he begs you to return the egg to its rightful home. Puzzle solvers looking for a serious challenge will love Amerzone. The game takes you above the rain forest and under water as you seek to return the lost egg. Play is as much about sensory experience as it is about unlocking the mystery, with 360-degree environments that bring the jungle to life with lush visuals and crystal-clear sound. Often the storyline seems like an excuse to draw you further through what is essentially an interactive art gallery. The only catch is that there is no guarantee you'll get to the next gorgeous scene--that is dependent upon solving yet another brainteaser. Players with a low tolerance for frustration may not enjoy the slow pace of this game. Each scene must be patiently searched, and it is easy to miss important clues or helpful objects. The journey is worthwhile, though, so stock up on patience and allow plenty of time to enjoy the trip! -- Alyx Dellamonica

Pokemon Puzzle Challenge (U) Platform: Game Boy Color Condition: Pre-Owned/Used in Very Good Condition This Title Also Available As: New: Brand New and Sealed games available Please get in touch for information on these options. Pre-owned games supplied with applicable serial keys. However - please note: Any single use keys or activation codes may have already been used/redeemed. Product Information Builds on Tetris Attack gameplay Line up coloured blocks that appear from bottom of screen Several gameplay modes, and Pokemon background images Features Pokemon Silver and Pokemon Gold characters Head-to-head play via separately sold Game Link Cable Product Description Pokemon Puzzle Challenge (U) builds on the simple yet challenging gameplay of Tetris Attack. Coloured blocks appear from the bottom of the screen; to make them disappear, players must line up three blocks of the same colour by switching any two side-by-side blocks. Players can compete against the computer via a split screen, or against a friend via the separately sold Game Link Cable. Creating chain reactions of matches will toss blocks into your opponent's screen. The game features characters from Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver. Also, Pokemon Puzzle Challenge (U) 's battery-save feature will remember the layout and your position, should your Game Boy Color be turned of in the middle of a game. Review From the second you plug this game into your Game Boy Color, it's apparent that Pokemon Puzzle Challenge (U) is essentially the Tetris Attack that was released some time ago for the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy systems. Pokemon characters abound; your young cousin or little sister should be able to rattle off many of their names effortlessly. The game is designed for young gamers, and encourages problem solving--something that all parents should want their children to learn while playing a game. Thankfully, the game controls are easy to pick up, and the tasks are easy to execute. For a puzzle game, this one has a good number of gameplay options and modes. Puzzle University looks simple, at first, but it proves to be a real brainteaser. In this mode, you must clear the entire screen in a limited number of moves--a twist that makes the game surprisingly addictive. It's good to see that Pokemon Puzzle Challenge (U) has made some minor improvements on the now-classic game of Tetris. Naturally, the graphics are better on the Nintendo 64 version; but, if you've got a long ride planned, or that plane's been delayed, this game will turn hours into minutes. If you're looking for a family-friendly title for all of the Game Boy Color users in your family, look no further than Pokemon Puzzle Challenge (U). -- Todd Mowatt
