Give your bearded dragon at least 12 hours of heating and 10.0 UVB, it's crucial to their needs. If you're not willing to pay for electricity, this pet might not be for you. They also need a diverse nutrition of live insects (store bought, wild ones are infested with parasites) and fruits and vegetables. Make sure the food is not bigger than the space between their eyes. Last, living solo is optimal. A female and male may be housed together but it may cause one harming the other (territory issues). Never house two males or two with a great size difference. We have a pair of Scotties, 1 male and 1 female, both 2 years old, that we would like to re-home. They are both small build Scotties, female is brindle and the male is black. Both have been sterilised. Our other dogs are bigger than them, and they are being picked on by them. Would rather they go to a family that has small dogs, as they both have such cute personalities, and need the freedom for these to shine. We have other Scotties, but they are much cheekier, and put the big dogs in their place, whereas, these two younger ones are more placid and the male, Angus, is like a little teddy bear, he loves his cuddles. The female, Tammy, likes to talk a lot and make her opinion known. They need to go together, as they have been together since we got them, and it will be less stressful, if they have each other in the move. We are asking R1 500 each, as they are both pedigree and we need to make sure the new famliy is serious about taking care of them.
