LET IT BE was greeted with mixed reviews when it came out in 1970, and is still a controversial disc in the band's catalogue-many fans reject it, while others defend it fiercely. Notable for its difference from anything else the Beatles recorded, LET IT BE has a raw, ragged, muscular sound that recalls the band's very earliest rock roots. The songs were mostly recorded live (save Phil Spector's overdubs on "The Long and Winding Road", "Across the Universe", and "I Me Mine"), and the result is a world away from the meticulous, high-sheen sophistication of the group's George Martin-produced releases. No one is likely to argue that LET IT BE is the band's best album, but it is a strong release nonetheless. The Beatles Collection on Parlophone, unique South African pressing, consisting of 12 of the original 13 albums (Let it Be has gone is AWOL). One owner and not played (apart from my own test listen) in 30 years. Similar but full/mint set on sale at Discogs for R26 000. The box is in excellent condition but has a split seam on the inner lid as per photo 3. All the records are in excellent condition and have seen very little use (with a  few possibly never played), with most being near mint. 1978 German TELEFUNKEN pressing, release number 6.23413 AO, of album by DAVID QUALEY: Guitar Solo. The track details are as shown on the images provided. The record has numerous light and ineffective sleeve-scratches, otherwise in a very good condition. The cover has a few light edge crinkles, some surface crinkles at the back, plus some very faint ring-wear, otherwise in a near excellent shape. VG / VG+

1969 Hard to find German ELITE SPECIAL pressing, release number SOLP-341, of compilation album by various (SWISS?) artists: SCHLAGER COCKTAIL, with DAS ORCHESTER JAN MOSSURA. Of particular note on this LP are the cover versions of the BEE GEES song "The Singer sang his song" and the BEATLES song "Lady Madonna", both of which are performed by DIE PERRYS (also spelled PERRIES on earlier recordings!).
