RVT (River Valley Trading) shave soap is a locally made, high quality all natural shave soap. We have been working with a local artisan soap maker in Durban to formulate a soap with the lathering properties that are required for traditional wet shaving. After receiving great feedback about our original  soap release, we now offer a new recipe formulation. The new formula gives a creamier, richer lather.  The scent profile of this soap is a green mix of Peppermint and Basil.    Our shave soap comes in a plastic tub with a screw top lid. 165 grams of soap per tub also gives great value.    All natural ingredients. No animal products. No synthetic fragrances. No artificial colours. No preservatives. No parabens, SLS   Ingredients: Stearic Acid, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Castor Oil, French Clay, Glycerin, Basil and Peppermint.   Hand made in Durban, South Africa.                    How to use Load the soap onto your brush by swirling a damp (not soaking) brush into the soap for about 30 seconds. Add a touch more water if you find the soap too dry. Once the brush bristles have a coating of soap paste, proceed to create a lather either in a bowl or directly on the face. This is the fifth fragrance of their artisan collection, described by Varvatos as follows: "From the start, weve always tried to go back to making fragrances the way they used to be made all by hand, with the best ingredients in the world, artisanal fragrances with smaller batches. Artisan Acqua is a lighter fragrance than its antecedent, the summer version inspired by beaches and seaside charm. Inspired by the Mediterranean, and long walks along the coast. The fragrance opens with notes of mandarin, tangelo (hybrid of tangerine and pomelo) and paradisamide molecule (leaving the impression of tropical fruit notes of guava, grapefruit, rhubarb and currant) accompanied by galbanum, lentic and angelica root. In the heart lie clary sage, lavender, coriander, toscanol, basil, geranium, palmarosa and jasmine sambac on a base of musk, patchouli and fir resin. Perfume John Varvatos Artisan Acqua is signed by perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux of Givaudan. The bottle is covered by hand knit rope. Varvatos points out that each flacon is somewhat different, considering they were all handmade.
