Let the mad professor hit you with his potion and you become invisible, meaning security cameras can't see you, but you also can't see yourself to make precision jumps. Each alternate form has a specific strength and weakness, and figuring out how to use the transformations to solve puzzles is half of the game's fun. It may seem counterintuitive, but to succeed at this game you will need to deliberately try to get hit by certain enemies at various points in the game. Is this the anti-Mario, or what? The graphics are clear and colourful, and the animation for both Wario and the other denizens of the land he's trapped in are very fluid. The sound effects are so-so, but the strange soundtracks that play on each level are catchy. Considering the limitations of the Game Boy Color, it's nice to have a game that combines some of the best graphics the system can output with some of the most phenomenal gameplay ever developed for any title. -- T. An excellent tutorial is included that will help players come to grips with moving their ships in a fully 3-D environment. The graphics haven't been upgraded much (but they didn't need to be), and the game runs smoothly on even low-end PCs, as long as you have a cap able video card. This is a must-buy for fans of the original, although newcomers might want to start with the original, so that they can feel the full effect of this polished series. Product Description Review Homeworld Cataclysm takes the Homeworld series to exciting new levels. The original Homeworld took real-time strategy into the third dimension; this edition, set 15 years after the original, comes with new ships (some of which are upgradeable), enhanced gameplay and a load of new tactical challenges. Once again, it's your job to lead a fleet of spacecraft through a campaign that involves past threats, a civil war and eventually a frighteningly powerful menace that eclipses everything that came before it. The basics are still the same, but now players can't see anything outside of the range of their ships' sensors. This makes defence tougher, because it's hard to predict where attacks will materialise; also, it requires the effective use of a small screening force to avoid nasty ambushes. Your new mothership is a lowly mining scow, so it isn't possible to build anything but the most basic ship until a captured vessel is towed in and researched. There's also a new limit on the number of ships that you can have in your fleet at any time, which means that it's important to build the right ship and make it count. There are a lot of new things to learn in Cataclysm, and all of them add to the game's fun.
