A superb investment sculpture, Ardmore Pedestal Dish (sweet / nut) handmade by Zebion Msele (duration at Ardmore to ) & hand-painted by Jabu Nene (duration at Ardmore to date). She was mentored by the renowned Ardmore painter Punch Shabalala. Jabu's exceptionally striking and bold pieces have earned her the position as one of Ardmore's leading painters. Her artworks were exhibited worldwide including exhibitions and sales at Christie's. This exquisite work of art is of circular bowl raised on a cylindrical stem and circular foot, painted in vibrant colours of floral pattern. The stem is surrounded by applied fish in high relief which is the artist's impression of the sardine run that is a natural phenomenon that only occurs along the Kwa Zulu Natal coastline of South Africa. Height is 32 cm and 4 kgs in weight. In good condition with minor lacquer peel to inner bowl. Signed to base.
