Antique cast iron Singer sewing table, reporposed, ideally as occasional/foyer table or desk. Machine and old top removed and replaced with a solid imbuia top. All drawers fitted with black porcelain knobs. Framework cleaned and resprayed. Item ready to be a focal point in any room and will last for many years to come. Quite heavy due to weight of cast iron frame and solid top. Latter currently loose for easier transport, but original screws available if required or fitment can be done if required. Originates from a small Western Cape town where it had been in use till about 25 years ago, then replaced with modern lamps. The old lamps were totally restored and then most were used at another historic town. This specific item has been in storage in a building for the entire time and never exposed to the elements, extremely scarce and a one of a kind original.
