                                                          Old leather belt with ammo pouch. The leather belt is short, only 92cm in length. The leather is brittle with cracks. Not sure of age but presume it to have been made sometime after WWI. Made by D Mason & Sons Ltd Walsall. Postage with Postnet will be R100. British Boer War - Brown Leather.303 Bandolier/ Ammo Belt 5 pockets (10-6-4-10-10)   British Pattern 1897 Mounted Infantry bandolier. Originally made as 50 rounds bandolier, but this one was probably shortened for use as a waist belt bandolier during the Boer War/early WW1.   In Good used condition. The stitching are still good and the  length: 985 mm Width: 80 mm     Please see the photo's as part of the description   We combine postage at nominal extra fees (please enquire if you are interested in more than one item).                                                           Leather Ammo Pouch Bandolier Belt with Bayonet Frog. From the research that I have done, it would appear that this bandolier was issued to the Schutztruppe in German South West Africa during WWI. Please note that the leather is dry and could do with some Dubbin. In places the leather has cracks. A fault that I must mention is that 4 of the studs of the press studs on the ammo pouches are broken with their "stud heads" missing. Postage with Postnet will be R100. Alernative consignment of buyers choice and own cost can be arranged. Consignment is at buyer's own risk.                                                                                             

Here we have four (4) early SADF pattern 70/73 olive green canvas webbing belt clips or "spiders" used to make up a skeleton webbing (or "jippo" webbing) aka lightweight patrol order belt-kit. The "spiders" attach to a std width web-belt and make attachment points for the shoulder harness or yoke to help carry the weight of ammo and water - especially liked and used by reaction force troops that wanted to move fast (carry minimal weight!). These loose patt 70/73 smaller items are always scarce and difficult to obtain. Please see the pics for further detail and as a confirmation of the item and its condition as on auction. Please note that the camo used as a background is not included in this auction. Postage quotes supplied at close of successful auction depending on the winning bidder and his/ her location!
