I absolutely adore the creation of Bokononism and the development of a new language to suit the needs of the religion-in-the-making.   Margaret Atwood's  MaddAddam  experiments with the same kind of post-apocalyptic scenario and the never-ending question of what humanity needs to survive. Of course Vonnegut's vision is a lot darker than Atwood's.
