Stephan Elliott (EYE OF THE BEHOLDER) wrote and directed this tale of two drag queens and a transsexual that embark on a road trip to a remote resort town in the Australian desert on a bus christened Priscilla. When Anthony Tick'/Mitzi (Hugo Weaving) is invited to perform in Alice Springs, he recruits flamboyant young stud Adam/Felicia (Guy Pearce) and the legendary, refined Bernadette (Terence Stamp) to join him. Mitzi, however, fails to disclose one important fact to his friends: his wife is the one who invited them to Alice Springs. With one big secret about to be revealed and another one up his sleeve, Mitzi is a little stressed. With long hours on the road ahead of them, the trio lip-synchs campy songs on the bus, creates fabulous costumes, and meets a multitude of colourful characters along the way. They party with friendly aborigines, are confronted by judgmental townspeople who are averse to drag queens, and meet Bob (Bill Hunter), a warm hearted mechanic and drag fan who joins them for the last leg of their trip when their bus breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Fantastic costumes and fabulous makeup abound, and fine performances are delivered all around. But perhaps most important are the implicit messages that families come in all forms, that friends can make a family, and that love really knows no boundaries.

After being marooned for five years on a remote island, billionaire Oliver Queen returns home with a mysterious agenda and a lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime in this hard-hitting action series. Reinventing the DC Comics character for a modern-day audience, the Arrow is not a superhero... but a hero -- every bit as dangerous as the criminals he's hunting. After suffering unimaginable ordeals on the island, the Oliver returns to Starling City a new man -- determined to right the wrongs of his father and sworn to bring justice to those who've corrupted his city. But Oliver finds his crusade complicated by his friends and family. Overjoyed by his miraculous return, the Queen family nevertheless still trades on secrets that conflict with the Arrow's agenda. Oliver's return also affects his best friend, Tommy Merlyn, who will ultimately travel down a dark path; and the love of his life, Laurel Lance, who must somehow forgive Oliver before she can ever love him again. A dark and dangerous crime procedural with edge, intrigue and action, Oliver's story will be told from three perspectives: the Queen family, Oliver's harrowing ordeal on the island and the Arrow's adventures in Starling City. Showing all facets of the mysterious loner, this action drama follows the Oliver that disappeared, the one that returned and the one known as Arrow.

It is ordered on demand from our supplier and is usually dispatched within 15 - 20 working days All four chapters of the post-modern animated comedy-fantasy following Shrek (voice of Mike Myers), a reclusive ogre living in a swamp on the edges of a fairytale kingdom. In 'Shrek' (2001), the vain yet diminutive ruler of the land, Prince Fahrquaad (John Lithgow) decides to streamline his kingdom by getting rid of all the fairytale characters who promptly decamp to live in Shrek's swamp. Faced with these unwanted tenants Shrek strikes a deal with the Prince, promising to find and return with Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz), marriage to whom will finally confer on the Prince his kingly status. In return the Prince promises to evict the various characters living on Shrek's land. Shrek's task is further irritated by the unwanted company of a tirelessly wise-cracking Donkey (Eddie Murphy), and while their adventure bears all the hallmarks of a classic fairytale, nothing in 'Shrek' turns out quite like you expect. In 'Shrek 2' (2004), Shrek returns from his honeymoon with his bride Princess Fiona to find an invitation from Fiona's parents, King Harold (John Cleese) and Queen Lilian (Julie Andrews) asking the newlyweds over to the Land Far, Far Away for dinner. On their arrival, they find that the King and Queen are less than pleased to see their daughter hitched to an affable green ogre, and looking rather the worse for wear herself compared to her former dazzling royal brilliance. When reminded by a conniving Fairy Godmother (Jennifer Saunders) of an ancient deal to match Fiona with her son, the vain and pompous Prince Charming (Rupert Everett), Shrek's new in-laws and their accomplices pull out all the stops to rid their kingdom of Shrek and restore their daughter to her former beauty - including hiring the services of notorious swashbuckling ogre-slayer Puss-in-Boots (Antonio Banderas). Murphy also reprises his role as the faithful Donkey. In 'Shrek the Third' (2007), when his frog-in-law suddenly croaks, Shrek embarks on another whirlwind adventure with Donkey and Puss in Boots to find the rightful heir to the throne, the awkward Arthur (Justin Timberlake). Unfortunately the envious Prince Charming has designs on the throne himself, joining with other fairytale villains in a coup d'etat to seize the crown. Can Shrek, with a magically misguided Merlin (voice of Eric Idle), a powerful posse of princesses, and a bundle of unexpected arrivals, manage to save the day? In 'Shrek: Forever After - The Final Chapter' (2010), after all of his many and varied adventures, Shrek has finally settled down to become a domesticated family ogre. Yearning for the days when he felt like a real ogre, Shrek is duped into signing a pact with smooth-talking wheeler-dealer Rumpelstiltskin (Walt Dohrn). He immediately finds himself plunged into a twisted alternate version of Far Far Away where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king, all his friends have completely different personalities, and Shrek and Fiona have never even met. It is now up to Shrek to save his friends, restore his world and reclaim his One True Love. Ironically, his version of the Victorian text plays more like The Wizard of Oz than a Lewis Carroll adaptation. On the day of her engagement party, the 19-year-old Alice (a nicely understated Mia Wasikowska) is lead by a white-gloved rabbit to an alternate reality that looks strangely familiar--she's been dreaming about it since she was 6 years old. Stranded in a hall of doors, she sips from a potion that makes her shrink and nibbles on a cake that makes her grow. Once she gets the balance right, she walks through the door that leads her to Tweedledum and Tweedledee (Matt Lucas), the Dormouse (Barbara Windsor), the Blue Caterpillar (Alan Rickman), and the Cheshire Cat (a delightful Stephen Fry), who inform her that only she can free them from the wrath of the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter channeling Bette Davis) by slaying the Jabberwocky. To pull off the feat, she teams up with the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp in glam-rock garb), rebel bloodhound Bayard (Timothy Spall), and Red's sweet sister, the White Queen (Anne Hathaway in goth-rock makeup). While Red welcomes Alice with open arms, she plans an execution for the hat-maker when he displeases her ("Off with his head!"). Drawing from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, Burton creates a candy-colored action-adventure tale with a feminist twist. If it drags towards the end, his 3-D extravaganza still offers a trippy good time with a poignant aftertaste. --Kathleen C.
