The controls are dead simple--turn with the D-pad, strafe with the shoulder buttons, shoot with A, open doors with B, change weapons with Select. The graphics and sound seem basic when compared to most of the GBA's other titles, but the gameplay's as good as it ever was; mowing down Nazis--and their dogs--then collecting their treasure and finding secret stashes of loot and health packs. They may not be the most cerebral of pursuits, but it's undeniably good fun. The only real downside is the lack of mid-level checkpoints--having to start the level from scratch each time you die can be very irritating.
