PROJECT MANAGER IN SOUTH AFRICA

Job Purpose: To lead the planning, scheduling, control, and effective co-ordination of all construction and installation activities related to the management of multiple projects of moderate to high complexity and manage resources for effective and efficient production on the operations or projects. Some of Key Responsibilities Attending of site meetings Perform project scope analysis Administer the tendering process Project pricing and cost monitoring Procure material Draught project plans Monitor site progress Control quality Co-ordinate safety Ensure that construction and electrical projects are completed timely in accordance with established quality standard and procedures Develop and implement policies to ensure completion of all area functions Inspect or direct the inspection of work to ensure conformance to specifications, schedules, and safety regulations Ensure that all employees and sub-contractors receive site orientation and training and that all state or local code requirements and building permits, inspection and project close-out processes are followed Achieve higher customer satisfaction through effective communication of both technical and non-technical topics with all levels of the organisation both verbally and in writing Exhibit project leadership, and effective decision making throughout each project and consistently deliver projects that meet all stakeholder requirements Ensure that projects are fully commissioned, qualified and ready to start-up / occupancy Ensure that all safety regulations are closely adhered to by completing the required documentation Execute maintenance, construction, and installation operations with the support of Site Personnel Formal Qualifications Electrical Engineering National Diploma or higher qualification Human relations and communication skills Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and Project Outlook) Experience 5 years working experience Minimum 5 years project management experience Strong understanding of engineering principles, procedures and standards Extensive managerial and technical experience Experience of computer processing: costs and schedule information Quality and safety-oriented Interpersonal skills Analytical thinking Conflict management Technically sound Project management skills Strong planning and organising skill Salary: 240,000.00 – 300,000.00 per annum (depending on experience) This job is for a small company and does not have benefits.
