Over 1 ton of waste newspaper is used for packaging material and their greywater and 50 000L rainwater catchments are used in the factory. Almost 10 500L per month of purified old engine oil and KFC oil is used to fuel the furnaces. Additionally, Ngwenya Glass has installed 550 solar panels which subsidise 40% of their electricity usage. For the past 30 years, Ngwenya Glass has paid a percentage of their worldwide sales to the Mkhaya Game Reserve and they also support numerous orphanages and charities in Eswatini and South Africa.
