DESPERATELY SEEKING EMPLOYMENT You may think at 67 years old I am past it and over the hill, however, I can assure you I am of sound mind, body & soul, fit and healthy with loads of energy. I am a white male and I know what it's like to perform an honest day's work. Remember, the older you get, the better you get. Brief working history: Five year apprenticeship and qualified as a Diamond cutter,,- Diamond grading and Laboratory in Antwerp, Belgium,,- Opened diamond laboratory in JHB for a diamond company,,- Sales rep jewelry,,- Sales rep Seiko watches and clocks, then Promoted to regional and branch Manager, Natal and Eastern Cape,,- NWJ- project manager,- General Manager for an air conditioning company,,- Opened and managed an Air conditioning branch in Ballito,,- Drakensberg Lodge- managing couple. Then joined an Irrigation company in Durban selling irrigation, pipes and fluid control fittings to the agriculture, nursery and hardware Industry as a consumables sales rep. I was then unemployed for 14 months. I opened the office and worked for Sotheby’s Realty, Cato Ridge, selling property, commission only. In the interim I applied for many, many jobs and finally was offered employment on a year’s contract as an internal salesman in an irrigation and fluid control department within a large company. Contract expired. I have achieved many sales incentives and overseas trips for both my wife and myself. I enjoy sharing and using my skills, wisdom and knowledge within the business and working environment.I have extensive computer software and hardware knowledge and experience. I do not have matric, however, after many years of various successful work and business experience and achievements, I believe I have written and achieved my matric many times over the years. I cannot afford to retire and I have the Mindset and attitude that, I “have” to work, should rather be, I “want” to work. (With maturity comes wisdom).
