MAINTENANCE FOREMAN IN SOUTH AFRICA

Capital Outsourcing is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Foreman to be based in Prospecton Durban. The purpose of the position is: To manage the maintenance requirements in order to ensure a safe, cost efficient and effective operation of plant equipment. To manage preventative maintenance program in respect of property and machinery. Identifies potential maintenance problems and takes precautionary corrective action. To ensure that all maintenance contractors operating at the facility conducting maintenance work complies with Legal and Company Safe Work, Rules, Procedures and Regulations The successful applicant will have the following roles and responsibilities:- · Be responsible for the implementation and compliance of all Safety, Health, Security, Housekeeping and Environmental issues relating to the employees and assets of the Service Centre under his area of control. Ensures that all Safe Work Procedures are adhered to. · Ensures that all human resource policies and procedures are adhered to. This includes all recruitment, disciplinary processes, training, development and staff motivation are efficiently managed, complied with and effectively executed. Staff controls. E.g. VIP /OT · Ensures that efficient levels of productivity and quality are attained according to required standards at all times by correct manning and material / tools availability. Manages the maintenance for the efficient and effective repairs of all the plant and equipment. Ensures that all tools and equipment are kept in a good and safe working condition. · Ensures that minimum stock levels of maintenance consumables are maintained. · Complies with all Administrative criteria as set down in controlling, Maintenance Consumables, Purchasing and Wage inputs. · Responsible for maintaining all plant equipment and property. · Carries out all other allocated duties as directed by your line manager Applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications (selection criteria) · Competency certification in Hot Work/Electrical/Mechanical/PLC fault finding. · 3 years supervisory experience in a Technical environment.Minimum 2 to 3 years electrical, mechanical and maintenance. · Must be computer literate with good communication skills, ability to work well under pressure. · Must have good planning skills and good problem solving ability. · Must possess a valid drivers license. · Knowledge of the Operational Health and Safety Act.
