KITCHEN DESIGNER IN SOUTH AFRICA

An established Kitchen Design company in the Garden Route area is looking for an experienced Kitchen Designer to join their dynamic team. Successful candidates must have: Interior design / Architectural background Experience with CAD / Fusion Experience in Kitchen Design / Construction Must be willing to learn and grow into the business and not be afraid to pick up the phone and have conversations Keep works overview list up to date of tasks for design, quote, order, etc. with times projection allocations to each. This to be typed out on PC and updated on a job completed basis Design to required result as per spec given Calculate detailed material list with costings of all components for every project/room/item Compile detailed quote, ready to be sent to client Order materials as required at prescribed suppliers Manage progress of orders as often as necessary to ensure deadlines are met Ensure all payments are up to date at all times Keep all subcontractors in the loop in writing and regular phone calls/texts to ensure projects don't suffer any delays Send detailed/accurate working drawings to all role players that might require these the moment final measures are taken and deposit has been paid and signed off Draw up registers to be signed off. Appliance register, sink tap and all other items that might affect our works. Even if nothing, client has to sign all off. Build this list as we grow Check in all material/stock to ensure that all are in perfect order and correct sizes Compile and present to manufacturing team allocated to that project a detailed set of working drawings as well as all relevant documentation Consult with team as often as required to ensure correct and accurate assembly Ensure correct and accurate loading of all assembled units and extra's as required Keep accurate time logs of all hours and other costs that goes into projects, these to be available Accurate details and costing of individual projects are to be kept and submitted when project is completed Accurate details and costings are to be kept of all mistakes per person and submitted as they happen All error costs are to be brought to attention immediately Engage with clients via all mediums as required to ensure smooth running of operations Keep showroom samples well stocked at all times Keep brochures and price lists up to date at all times Ensure that all showrooms and show items are priced and in the most presentable layout and state of cleanliness at all times Research new products and better ways of doing things Do ongoing self -training on programs for design and POS to ensure that you stay at the top of your game. The ultimate goal is to work fast and accurate Research design trends as they change through internet, magazines and other media at your disposal Manufacture a presentation/intro kit to be submitted with all quotes, details to be discussed. Maintain and update on an ongoing bases. Keep enough stock of these Compile and maintain a time management sheet for yourself
