INSTALLER/TECHNICIAN CARPET/ENTRANCE MATTING/INDUSTRIAL IN SOUTH AFRICA

COBA Africa has a position open for an honest and accurate Installation Technician. All candidates applying for this position must meet the following Criteria; 1. Own transport with Driver’s license (code 08 or higher) 2. Good physical health 3. Fluent in English (and Afrikaans an advantage) 4. Willing to work flexible hours and able to travel 5. Experienced carpet (or similar product) installer 6. Mathematically and technically inclined - The candidate will be responsible for installation of entrance matting systems. This may include the managing of an assistant should the need arise. - The candidate will be responsible for pre-site inspections which may also include things such as accurate measurement and generating accurate layout diagrams, liaising with project leaders and architects as well as end user customers. - The candidate will be responsible for pre installation assembly of certain mats and edging items as well as onsite trimming, bonding and edging of products. Installations will also include duties such as removal of old existing material for off-site dumping, cleaning of screeds and recesses. The cleaning prior to installation of any product may include chopping of screeds using hand held tools, scraping and sweeping of debris.
