Hawkins Battery Charger - Pro 224 The Hawkins Pro 224 Battery Charger is a powerful engine starter and battery charger combination. It is intended for table top use at home or in small businesses and garages. The Pro 224 will deliver an engine start aid of 200A c.c. which is sufficient to start petrol and diesel engines up to 2-litre capacity. In charger mode, the charger will charge 12V and 24V batteries. Selection is made by connecting the charging cable to either the 12V stud or 24V stud on the front panel. The transformer is protected by an automatic reset thermal circuit breaker and a 12.5A mains fuse. The output side is protected by a replaceable 80A fuse to guard against incorrect polarity or too high a charging current. Two rocker switches allow for both Battery Charge/Engine Start and HIGH/LOW charging selection. The Pro series of chargers were designed in compliance with IEC 335-2-2 and has a two year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Not recommended for sealed batteries.
