GERMAN WW2 ARTILLERY RANGEFINDER DIRECTOR FLAK BINOCULARS IN SOUTH AFRICA
Pair of WW2 German (believed to be Carl Zeiss) Artillery 12x60 Rangefinder Director Flak Binoculars, with tripod. It is rare to find one with a fitted tripod, as I believe they were often fitted by the Wehrmacht to R40 and R36 Rangefinders To aid in the observation of enemy aircraft. Hypocycloid adjustment to left hand eyepiece, with each eyepiece having independent focusing. Original ocular cover present. Brow rest has started to perish from age, binoculars shows signs/wear with use. All adjusting knobs seem to work. Glare shield present. Lenses are all intact, image still clear and bright. Left lens has cross-hairs. Weight: about 4kg, length: 44cm. Shipping option, method and cost, is at the buyers choice.
