Johannesburg, - this book was privately printed. Illustrations by E.L. Gurnell & K Howitson. Foreword by Ernest Oppenheimer. Colour illustrations and black and white photos. Hardcover, no jacket - the picture on the board is a pastedown, as issued - cloth strips binding spine - these have a little wear and split at the top. There is a gift inscription from what appears to be a grateful student to a nun at Holy Rosary Convent School in Port Elizabeth - school library stamps present.  A lovely book chronicling and listing veld flowers found "by the roadside".
