The lights are made of SMD strips that are twice as bright as your conventional L.E.D's that are available at pet shops. These Lights emit at a k (kelvin) and have lumens per meter which is perfect for growing aquarium plants. The pet shop led's are very expensive and the quality should not be measured with their price. The L.E.D's have been tested in many of my aquariums and are working perfectly.
