CONSTRUCTION SITE MANAGER IN SOUTH AFRICA

Purpose of the job The construction site manager helps with acquisition of material and control, the planning process, hiring workers, keeping track on the progress of the construction job and ensuring that it is completed in a correct manner. He/She should be in charge of all on site operations, working with subcontractors and ensuring the construction contract runs to schedule and is also responsible for handling complaints or problems along the way. Qualification and Experience The candidate should have an NQF Level 6 qualification in construction management or equivalent with a minimum of 3years relevant work experience. Knowledge and Skill Requirements A construction manager should possess following traits: Self motivated and client focused Experienced with and understanding of the legalities of contracts Technical knowledge and show an understanding of terminology and development, Construction industry knowledge Familiarity with Construction and principles of site management Should be multitasked. Should also have excellent problem solving skills. Should be timely in nature. Extensive Technical Knowledge of Civil construction and building construction Good Report writing.
