CHINTSA GOLD ALE IN SOUTH AFRICA

The Emerald Vale farm, home to the Emerald Vale Brewery, is situated in the rolling hills between the Chintsa and Chefani Rivers on the Eastern Cape Wild Coast. Emerald Vale use rain water, South African Malt, Belgium yeast and a variety of imported and locally produced hops to create four basic Chintsa Ales. Made in 500 litre batches, Chintsa beers are not filtered or pasteurised. Although known as a Gold Ale, the Chintsa Gold Ale is actually a pale ale Golden in colour Made with Pale Malt and 3% Dark Malt, it has medium body Deep hop and malt flavours Rob Heyns' Mixed Case Tasting Notes: August - We had a great response to Chinsta Pale Ale, with plenty of recommendations. The second beer to feature from this popular little spot on the Wild Coast is the Gold Ale, which is ever so slightly more bitter than the Pale with a bit more body.
