Our client, a large national concern seeks to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Chief Engineer to work on board a large Freezer Vessel. Duties: Reporting to the Vessel Superintendent, you will ensure that vessels are safely and effectively fully operational in accordance with SAMSA and other Maritime Regulations and Company Policies. Vessel repairs and maintenance Operations and watch-keeping Administration in terms of expenditure and budget control, engine room logbooks, engineering stock control and record keeping Ensuring the engine room staff’s compliance to safety and emergency procedures and good housekeeping practices Ensuring that the correct grades and quantities of fuel and lubrication oils are confirmed before loading, and that the correct tanks are identified before bunkering Manpower management and training Requirements and Competencies: Marine Engineer Class 3 with service endorsement (3375kw fishing vessel) Excellent management, communication and interpersonal skills Relevant experience of at least 5 years Please forward your detailed CV in Word Format indicating your current salary, expected salary, EE status (Race Group), availability (Notice period) as well as 2 contactable references
