Ramsgate ramble. This meandering beach path has been lovingly restored by John Scott and his team of volunteers. The Marine Ramble is well signposted from the main road and runs from Big Tree Beach in the south,which is on the northern bank of Southbroom lagoon, accessed from Shore Road, to Tragedy Hill on Ramsgate’s northern boundary with Margate. The walk is approximately six kilometres long, but can be joined at any stage along the way. There are lots of interesting things to spot, including birds, shells, marine life in the many rock pools, and a big colony of dassies near the Ramsgate tidal pool.
