It has an EPS liner which is only 1" thick compared to the " found on similar helmets. Unlike most helmets, three different shell sizes are used to make different sizes... not just one shell size and then 'stuff' extra padding in to 'fill in the gaps' for smaller sizes. And, this helmet meets or exceeds USA DOT Specifications which means that this helmet is Department of Transportation approved and will help protect you in the event of a crash or fall.
