From Great Britain, a  Medal to Commemorate the Visit by Joseph Chamberlain, the British Colonial Secretary, to South Africa in 1903. The purpose of the visit was to foster unity after the Boer War. Note: The silver plate is thick and this medal is often mistaken for solid silver in examples with little wear. This medal was lot 109 at the Spink & Son e-Auction No. 3 on 22/05/2019 and mistakenly billed as solid silver.
