ANTIQUE GARNET NECKLACE IN SOUTH AFRICA

This is in beautiful condition and seems unused....no damage or repairs or wear. It's set with eight lovely Garnet gemstones. Each Garnet is +- 1ct. It's substantially made and has a quality feel. It's got full Birmingham Hallmarks for the maker "VGI". The total length when laid out flat excluding the drop is 17 inches and the extender increases that to 20 inches if used. The lobster claw catch and all jump rings are in good order and it fastens securely. This weighs around 12 grams and quite apart from any silver value this means it hangs well and has a very nice quality feel.
