Principal first Government school, Krugersdorp, Jan, 1889, resigned; some time prospector; Subsequently joined Transvaal Civil Service as Assist. Claim inspector Krugersdorp Goldfields; Later 1st Clerk Mining Commissioner's Office, Klerksdorp. Served through Anglo Boer War. After peace in 1902 joined Mr J.A. Neser's staff, and was admitted as an Attorney. Published by Human Sciences Research Council Pretoria 1974. Hardcover with D/J, 122pp, includes 5 fold-out maps & various B/W photo's.The jacket has lots of edge-wear & small tears (See photos), the book itself is in clean, crisp good condition, maps in very good condition, with former bookshop stamp to fepp. O/A a good/very good copy.
