A PAIR OF WW1 TRENCH ART HAMMERED BRASS 8 CM GERMAN IN SOUTH AFRICA

A Pair of German 8 cm Cartridge Cases. They both depict two Lions which are outlined by hammering the brass. They  appear to have been manufactured in different factories. Possible one German the other Austrian. They are date stamped 1917 & 1918. The one stamped 1917 has what I think is the Imperial German Eagle above the makers name. This mark is not on the 1918 case.  They are 220 mm tall, base diameter is 87 mm and they weigh 1904 grams.
