If the first five minutes after death are so important, would God be unfair not to warn us in time – at the latest five minutes before death? Would you prefer to know in what year you will die – or what month? If your heart belongs to God, if yo have accepted His sacrifice of love at Calvary, it would be better not to know when you are going to die. Rather let it come unexpectedly and unannounced. On the other hand, if you have not set matters right with your Maker, it would probably be better, a measure of extra grace, to be given a reminder, or perhaps a final warning as death lies in waiting.
