2 British 18th century circulated/ ungraded coins for 1 bid. This lot consists of: A 1799 British halfpenny coin. The obverse features the laureate bust of King George III facing right, wearing robes. The surrounding legend reads: 'GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA REX'. The reverse shows Britannia seated facing left, holding an olive branch and a trident, with a shield resting beside. A small ship lies in the left background. The legend reads 'BRITANNIA', with the date below. The coin has some wear. A 1791 Birmingham Mining & Copper Co. copper halfpenny token. The obverse has a female seated upon a rock holding a fasces, BIRMINGHAM MINING AND COPPER COMPANY around and 1791 in exergue and the reverse a stork upon a cornucopia, HALFPENNY PAYABLE AT around.
