Kniphofia ichopensis is a South African endemic species from the KwaZulu-Natal Province. It was previously known as Kniphofia schlechteri and is commonly known as Ixopo Red-hot Poker in English and Ixopovuurpyl in Afrikaans. It grows to 50cm tall and is usually found in damp areas.
