VERY RARE AND HIGHLY COLLECTABLE: SCHAFER & VATER "SPANKING" IN SOUTH AFRICA

I have yet to see one of these rare match strikers advertised for sale on SA websites....or internationally. Manufactured circa , this little "Pay-Day" bisque creation by Schafer & Vater (Germany) is in excellent condition and has been in one particular family for 80 years. The matches were kept in the little well to the side and was struck on the man's rear. The Shafer & Vater factory and moulds were destroyed by the Nazis (and not sold or amalgamated like so many others) and no figures were made after this time making them highly collectable.
