So, Frank Rousseau was only just in time when he set out to make a complete photographic record of the South African Proteaceae.  Not all the Proteaceae are shown in this book - there are nearly 400 distinct species in southern Africa - but the work is representative of the full range, and the brilliant and dramatic photographs have been reproduced throughout in full colour.    A passion for books and a passion for collecting fine editions was the recipe that created the successful group of bookshops in Johannesburg called Bookdealers.
