TECHNICIAN IN SOUTH AFRICA

JOB PURPOSE: Installation of tracking devices and fleet management systems.Meeting and liaising with customers.Technical handover to clients - basic system functionality explanation.Maintenance and repair of equipment in the field. Administrative duties. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Be able to work under pressure. Coordinates and is responsible for organising daily tasks. Ability to communication with client at all levels, explaining basic system functionality.Supplies management with oral and administrative reportsProblem solving – use of technical skills.Completion of quality Installations /repairs.Ability to work overtime.Excellent time keeping to complete tasks by given deadlines. Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.Adhere to all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards. REPORTING: Reports directly to the Technical Supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: NTC 4 or Grade 12 certificate.Full understanding of GPS/GSM systems.Computer literate. Must possess 3 years’ experience in the tracking industry. Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach). Valid driver’s license.
