SENIOR IT TECHNICIAN IN SOUTH AFRICA

Required experience4+- Years technical experience.Thorough understanding of all major Microsoft platforms, applications and services (including Operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Outlook).Solid understanding of networking.Knowledge of storage systems (NAS, SAN).Software deployment (Microsoft SMS, System Centre, AD GPO, RADIA).Understanding of relational databases (such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL).Experience in implementing virtualization (VMWare, Microsoft Virtual Server, MS Hypervisor).Advantageous (optional)Experience in implementing backup products (Veritas, Brightstor) and policies.Exposure to Linux (Fedora, Redhat Enterprise, Ubuntu, SUSE).Security knowledge (Firewalls, IPSec, Basic understanding of cryptography including Symmetric, Asymmetric encryption and hashing algorithms)
